Wheels are to be at least 1” wide X 5” in diameter with steel or aluminum center. This device is to have either wheels or skid plates. (Lawn Stock may use original muffler)ĭ) All tractors are required to have a safety device to prevent turnovers. No more than 10 degrees out of straight upward allowed. (Excluding lawn stock)Ĭ) All exhaust must be discharged vertically and be securely attached. The switch will be located within 6” to either side of the center, rear end of tractor, and easily accessible.ī) All tractors must be equipped with a dead man throttle and a working dry chemical fire extinguisher or equivalent. P) Registration will end half an hour before the pull starts.Ī) All tractors, except Lawn Stock, are required to have a kill switch that kills the engine and fuel pump in case of a chain or hitch breakage. If you leave early your money will be held until a later date. O) No money shall be disbursed until after the pull is over. No tractor will pull more than once in each class, except as a test puller. N) Only one class bump, per tractor, per driver, Kids Class and Powder Puff classes are exempt. However, if the weights or components fall beneath the sled it may affect the outcome, therefore resulting in being disqualified. It is the flagman’s decision if weights or components fall off and to the side of the sled, therefore not affecting the outcome. Any excessive or obvious loss of weights or components may be cause for disqualification. M) All weights must be safely secured to the tractor. Possession of drugs or alcohol will be grounds for disqualification. L) NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND OR DRUGS ARE PERMITTED AT THE PULL. K) Only track officials and one helper are permitted to be on the track, the helper must remain out of the officials’ way. J) At no time will there be any bouncing or jerking while hooked to the sled. I) Driver must remain seated during the pull and have at least one hand on the steering wheel at all times. H) Hooking positions are determined by drawing numbers. If they are not able to hook in the allotted time they will receive last in heat/class. G) If a puller has a mechanical problem they have the option to drop back 6 hook positions (5 more than where they hooked) if there are less than 5 tractors remaining, they have until the end of the heat/class plus an additional 5 minutes. If a puller delays for more than 90 seconds, he/she will have to drop as discussed in RULE 2-G ![]() A puller is expected to have their tractor running by the time the sled has returned to the starting point. The first puller in each class is a test puller, they have the option to: keep their hook, drop and come immediately back, or drop to the 6th hook position.į) Driver will be disqualified if he/she delays the contest. SEE RULE #1Į) Two attempts will be allowed to start the sled, except in pull-offs, only one attempt. No portion shall be outside the boundary at the end of the pull. ![]() SEE RULE #1ī) No portion of the tractor shall interfere with the sled hitch during the pull.Ĭ) The hitch must be easily accessed on the tractor.ĭ) Any portion of the tractor touching the boundary line will result in disqualification. The flagman will enforce this rule for the safety of the track crew. Tractor must be shut off before being unhooked from the sled. This will be kept on file.Ī) Driver must put his/her tractor in a neutral position and be hand pushed to the sled. ![]() Any disagreements will result in disqualification.Ī) All tractor drivers will be paid members.ī) All tractors pulling on track will have current paid registrations.Ĭ) Any driver under the age of 18 must have a signed permission slip from a parent or legal guardian. SEOGTPA Rules for the 2017 Pulling Seasonġ) Judges/Flagman and or sled operators’ decision will be final on any point of controversy.
